I have focused on landscape, most particularly remote regions of the northern Great Basin,
geographically and conceptually, with some consistency throughout my artistic career. Though at
a loss to explain exactly why this is so, or even why I have dealt primarily with landscape
from the very beginning, my painting always seems to come back to the land.
